Course Description
1 credit - 1 period per day 5 days a week - Full Year Course
The focus is on the application of scientific concepts through traditional classroom instruction, laboratory demonstrations and selected laboratory experiments that can be safely accomplished in one class period. The course is designed to provide the student with basic knowledge in the following concepts: Matter and Change, Measurements and Calculations, Atoms: The Building Blocks of Matter, Chemical Formulas and Chemical Compounds, and Chemical Equations and Reactions.
