Algebra I

COURSE DESCRIPTION: 

Algebra I provides a formal development of the algebraic skills and concepts necessary for students to succeed in advanced courses.  In particular, the instructional program in this course provides the use of algebraic skills in a wide range of problem-solving situations.  This course transitions students from a concrete method of thinking to thinking in the abstract.  Topics will include Operations with Real Numbers, Linear Equations, Linear Inequalities, Functions, Coordinate Geometry and Data Analysis.
