Sewing & Quilting II
Welcome to the Level 2 class of our sewing curriculum! Just as it was in Level I, this is a 100% hands-on class.
The tentative outline for class is as follow:
--Review of machine parts & functions on scrap fabric
--Introduction & use of additional machine features not included in the Level I class
--Machine skills assessment (similar to Level I)
--A variety of new quilt block patterns
--"Quilt as you go" technique
--Repair items (similar to Level I)
--A variety of small projects
--Sewing with elastic & zippers
--Final project
Note: All sewing supplies are provided in the lab, as well as a variety of fabric for practice and most of the smaller projects. Students are required to provide the fabric for their final projects. This can be purchased at Walmart, JoAnn's, and Dollar Tree. Final projects will be discussed later on in the 1st quarter.
