Welcome to the Jeannette Junior-Senior High School.
Located in the City of Jeannette, Westmoreland County, approximately 22 miles southeast of Pittsburgh, the newly reconfigured Junior-Senior High School is home to a diverse population of over 400 students in grades 7-12. The Jeannette Junior-Senior High School, along with Jeannette McKee Elementary, comprise the Jeannette City School District. With nearby access to PA Routes 30 and 66, as well as the Pennsylvania Turnpike, the Jeannette City School District has access to an abundance of local and regional retailers and employers.
To prepare our students for learning and leading in the 21st century, our students benefit from a 1:1 computing initiative using Chromebook devices. To support this initiative, the Jeannette Junior-Senior High School features spacious classrooms outfitted with computers, projection equipment, interactive whiteboards, and a local area network with high speed internet access. Our teachers and administrators are encouraged to model the utilization of technology in all facets of instruction.
There are a number of extracurricular activities that exist to provide opportunities for students outside the classroom. Some of these include interscholastic athletics, band, chorus, drama, Student Council and National Honor Society. A host of events are held each year to provide an opportunity for students to become involved with the school community, as well as the community at large.
