Course Description
1 credit - 1 period per day 5 days a week - Full Year Course
The focus is on the application of scientific concepts through traditional classroom instruction, laboratory demonstrations and selected laboratory experiments that can be safely accomplished in one class period. The course is designed to provide the student with basic knowledge in the following concepts Introduction to Science, Matter, States of Matter, Atoms, The Periodic Table, The Structure of Matter, Chemical Reactions, Motion, Forces, Work and Energy, Heat and Temperature, Waves, Sound and Light, and Electricity.
